2. How Corrections are Handled
When a factual error, technical specification error, or erroneous attribution is identified in an article:
- Minor Clarifications: Typos, spelling corrections, or minor grammatical adjustments are updated directly with the
dateModifiedtimestamp updated. - Substantial Corrections: If a technical figure (e.g., missile range, contract value, company involvement) or core fact is corrected, a clear "Correction Notice" is appended to the bottom or top of the article detailing what was corrected and when.
- Retractions: In rare cases where a report is proven false by primary official authorities, the article is updated with a prominent retraction statement.
